This is the type of Water Filter that missionaries in the Third World Countries have been using for over 140 years.
It's gravity fed. No electricity is needed. Its ceramic filters safely remove dangerous waterborne pathogens such as cysts (Cryptospordium, Giardia Lambilia), bacteria (E. Coli, Salmonella, Typhus...), viruses (Polio, Rota Virus, and Ebola). Nothing escapes? Except pure water.

Here's How It Works Questionable water (from lakes, creeks, ponds, wells, cisterns, from anywhere) is poured into the upper container, where it dribbles down through the highly specialized ceramic filter elements, leaving cysts, bacteria, viruses and sediment in the outer layer of the ceramic. After passing through the thick ceramic wall, the water flows through a lid of silvered coconut shell carbon. It holds 9.5 quarts per filling and can filter up to 30 gallons per day without electricity.

Triple Whammy! If you're unsure of your water, whether from your well, municipality or cistern, here's my personal tip: Just to ease your mind on the issue, you might want to pre-treat your water. You can do this by adding 20 drops (1 teaspoon) of Stabilized Oxygen/Aerobic 0xygen ( click here to learn more ) per gallon of water. Let it set for 30 minutes to get a good mix and to give the Stabilized Oxygen a chance to work. This will kill all the harmful bacteria, microbes and viruses right off the bat.Then you can pour this treated water through a standard cone-shaped paper coffee filter. This will take out any sediment. Then pour this double-treated water into your Stainless Steel Gravity Water Filter.
